Arriving from the South on the A49 from Leominster
Fork left off the A49 just after Ashford Bowdler onto the B4361 Overton Road signposted Ludlow. Follow the road into Ludlow. Cross the old Ludford Bridge and as the road turns sharply right instead carry straight ahead into Lower Broad Street. Ahead of you is the Broad Gate. Go under the Broad Gate into Broad Street and drive straight up to the top of Broad Street. At the top in front of you is the old Buttercross. Turn left into the High Street (this is small narrow street) which brings you out into the eastern end of the Castle Square. At the end of Castle Square turn sharp left into Mill Street. Drive down Mill Street ignoring the turn on left half way down which takes traffic out of town centre. Carry on down Mill Street about 70 yards past junction and No.24 is on your right. Arriving from the North on the A49 from Shrewsbury
Fork left off the A49 just past the racecourse onto the B4361 signposted Ludlow. Follow the road into Ludlow. As you near the centre of the town Corve Street starts to climb steeply. At the top of the hill there are traffic lights turn right here into King Street follow the road along. The road curves around the Buttercross but do not turn left (Broad Street) instead carry on into High Street coming out into the Castle Square. At the end of the square turn sharp left into Mill Street. Drive down Mill Street ignoring turn on left which takes traffic out of town centre. Arriving from the East on the A4117 from Kidderminster/Birmingham
Passing over Clee Hill follow the A4177 downhill to Ludlow. At Rocks Green you come to a roundabout with the A49. Go straight across the roundabout , second exit, into Henley Road. Follow the road into Ludlow passing St Peters Catholic Church (an unusual 1930's neo-Byzantine style) on your right. At the end of the churchyard the road turns left - go straight ahead here New Road, pass the hospital on your left. Follow New Road downhill until you reach mini-roundabout - take first exit under the railway into Bromfield Road, cross bridge over the River Corve. At the end of the road at the junction turn left onto Coronation Avenue (the old A49) which is the road into the centre of Ludlow. Cross the Corve again and the road curves to the right to become Corve Street, go through the lights by Tesco and the street starts to climb steeply. Arriving by Train
it is about 7-8 minutes walk from the Station to 24 Mill Street. This includes a very steep climb up Corve Street. Come out of the Station, cross the road and then turn right along Station Drive. Follow this road to its end (Tesco's is on your left). At end of the road turn left into Corve Street. Follow Corve Street to top of hill. At the top cross over the road and walk along King Street coming out in Castle Square with Ludlow Castle at the end. Walk through the Square and immediately past the museum and tourist information centre turn left down Mill Street. No 24 is just over 200 yards down on the right.
